At a Court continued and held for Washington County the 26th day of October 1893, a writing purporting to be the last will and testament of Susan A. Mann was produced in court and on the motion Ida J. Miller was proved by the oath of J. B. Taylor one of the subscribing witnesses thereto who proved that the said writing was signed by the testatrix in the presence of himself and the other subscribing witness the witnesses being present together with each other and with the said testatrix.  It is therefore ordered that the said writing be recorded as and for the last will and testament of the said Susan Mann deceased.

            Teste,

Notes:  Susannah A. Hayter Mann was the wife of Henry A. Mann.  Henry was a brother to Mary Mann Phelps and uncle of Ida Frances Phelps.

Susan Mann names several children here:  N. W. (Newton) Mann, Jos. H. Mann (married his first cousin Louzana Phelps), Ida J. Mann Miller, M. G. (Milton) Mann, Thaddeus G. Mann.  It seems that her husband Henry A. Mann is still alive as she writes this and she mentions an Arthur A. Mann.  So far, I haven’t uncovered any other mention of Arthur and don’t know if it was another child of hers or someone else.
