Possibly early 1900s |
Evangeline
and Palestine were identical twins. Children of John Phelps and Mary Mann
Phelps. Sisters of Ida Frances Phelps Branch. Other sisters were Lutie,
who was the mother of Lester Mann, our cousin who lived in Canada, and
Aunt Phine. Evangeline married Will Davis when we visited Virginia
in 1920 - both Aunt Phine and Aunt Van and Uncle Will were living quite
near one another there in Moccasin Gap. Photo and commentary courtesy Jackie Gander Deets. |
